We also offer a variety of services such as; Tuition for all ages and capabilities, Guitar set ups, repairs that are all at competitive prices.
Recently, we started working with a ‘Grassroots creativity community’ called ‘Up In’t Smoke’ who offer reviews and exposure to creative people using the gift of social media. If you want to be involved in any way, find them on Facebook or contact them through here, or better yet, pop in and you can talk to all of us at once!
Dr Viper Custom Tattoos
Max trained in the North East amongst experienced tattoo artists, namely Otickone -aka Richie @ Power in Houghton-le-Spring. Over the last 6 years, Max has continued to experiment and innovate, establishing a broad range of styles and approaches.
His work has developed from a traditional Oriental form into a fusion of modern styles that is fluid and abstract, with elements of watercolour and dynamic brushstrokes. He frequently includes animalistic and shamanic characters, and his work conveys energy, freedom, and passion.
Exciting new projects included monochrome geometric tattoos, expanding on his dot-work technique to create delicate and subtle effects. He has also begun working with close friend and painter Tom French in order to successfully adapt Tom’s incredible illusory paintings as effective tattoos. (Tom’s work here: https://tomfrenchart.wordpress.com/)
Alongside his tattoo business, Max pursues his artistic and creative passions through digital art, painting, and costume making -along with occasional mural and illustration commissions.

Gypsy Rose Salon
Our director’s initial training years were spent at Hair By Christmas, before going on to gain additional skills and knowledge from some of the leaders in the UK industry – LO’real, Not Another Salon, Matt James, Ben Brown and Lorrainne Massey.
We see each client as an individual opportunity for us to help them express themselves through our craft. We are always striving to further our understanding of industry advancements, honing and developing our skill set for the best results.
We believe that clients shouldn’t be left in the dark on how to get the best results for their hair once they have left the salon. We are open, honest and ethical, choosing quality over quantity.
There’s no rest for the wicked when you’re making hair dreams a reality.
Helen started Orange Pippin in 2017, specialising in Wedding Stationery and custom illustrations. Each bespoke project is tailored to the client and creating beautiful, meaningful illustrations is Helen’s speciality.
As well as bespoke pieces, Helen also creates a range of prints, cards, wrap and homeware products that feature her work. With a love of nature that can be seen throughout all of the illustrations; animals and florals are often the focus of the product ranges. Each illustration is created by hand using watercolour and ink, before they become unique stationery and finished products. Helen’s illustrative products are also available to stock wholesale and are in many shops up and down the UK.
If weddings or prints aren’t your thing then Helen also creates illustrations for commercial use, such as for brochures and marketing material or product packaging. Each project is unique and tailored to the client’s needs so please get in touch with any queries or questions you might have and Helen would be more than happy to have a chat!
