Haggler’s Corner presents…
This workshop is ideal for the dress making beginner.
You will learn how to measure yourself to calculate skirt measurements, cut material, sew seams, waistbands/facings, hems and assemble the perfect summer skirt.
You will be creating the 1/2 circle skirt or a wrap skirt. You will learn to insert a standard or invisible zip ( your choice which to buy). You can then choose how to finish off your skirt with embellishments.
This promises to be a fun and relaxed introduction to dress making, resulting in you leaving with a personalised item of clothing, many new skills and tips on professional techniques as well as a new or renewed enthusiasm for sewing!
Teenagers are welcome on the course as well as adults crafters. It is preferable to have basic sewing machines skills to do the workshop. This includes being able to thread the machine and do basic straight stitching.
Bring your own material to ensure the finished skirt is one that suits your style and colouring. We will advise you how much to buy.
