Expect a unique experience when hiring our facilities for Weddings, Meetings or other Events. We have a varied mix of spaces and places, so let your imagination run wild. Our Upstairs Event Space with vintage slate-topped bar/serving area can be adapted and decorated to suit a multitude of purposes. Indoor sit down meals for up to 40 people or buffet & party room for approx 70-100.

Suitable for parties, birthday parties, or anniversary events. Price includes shared access to our marquee in the courtyard, sound system to plug into tablets, smart phones or laptops, fully licensed and stocked bar and free Wi-Fi. Please note that during the winter months the marquee might not be up due to weather conditions.

EVENT SPACE & BAR Friday £300 / Saturday £400

  • 7pm to 12:30am. Guests are asked to vacate the room by 1am. Access to set up from 6pm.
  • Fully licensed and stocked bar.
  • Maximum capacity 100 guests standing.
  • Shared access to our twinkly terrace
  • Free WIFI
  • Music channeled from our Hagglers DJ’s set in bar TAKK OR access to our in house sound system for background music using iPad/phone. Adapter for headphone jack will be needed!




Drinks & Alcohol

  • We run a lovely and fully licensed and stocked bar until 1am.
  • NO drinks are allowed including alcohol and soft drinks.
  • Unfortunately we do not host 18-21 year old birthday parties.

Self-Catering Charge £50

  • You are very welcome to bring your own food but NO drinks are allowed including alcohol and soft drinks. An additional charge of £50 will be applicable.
  • Please bring everything you will need to serve, as we cannot provide any utensils, crockery, cutlery, serviettes, etc.
  • The room must be left as found at the conclusion of the event, please remove your own decorations
  • No overnight storage is available.

Sound System

  • There is a sound system included in the venue hire price suitable for background music for you connect a tablet, laptop or smartphone (please bring connecting cable).
  • The room must be left as found at the conclusion of the event.
  • No overnight storage is available.
  • Free Wi-Fi available


  • Public parking is available opposite Hagglers Corner on Guernsey Road.



Monday to Friday

Suitable for use as a community space, workshops, meetings or for kids parties, birthday or anniversary events.

Event space

  • Hire by the hour @ £20p/h

The Bhaji Shop offer a fantastic selection of seasonal catering menus. Please contact them for details. If you decide to bring your own catering, there is a £50 surcharge. 

 Please be aware that NO drinks are allowed including soft drinks.

  • We ask you that the room must be left as found. Please take everything away with you, including your rubbish bags.

For Hen Do Parties, we can offer a fully licensed bar and capacity for up to 80 guests. A truly unique venue for your special party with plenty of room for fun & games!

  • £30 per head – Cocktail Masterclass experience – You choose 2 Classic cocktails we teach you how to make them! Whilst having a merry time 🙂 Minimum 6 people
  • £20 per person for food platters

Wedding party for Chloe and Tim.

I (aunt of the bridegroom from Scotland) just wanted to say how marvelously I thought you organised this party. All the decorations (I especially loved the ones going up the stairs), the hay bales and other places for people to sit, the area for children to play, the siting of the tables, all the various rooms and bars, the lavatories with endless towels and baby changing mats.

And then the food: a marvellous and varied picnic set out so swiftly and well (and then equally swiftly cleared away), and the barbecue cooked throughout the afternoon, the fresh drinking water, the constant availability of drinks, soft and hard, and above all, the efficiency, enormous hard work yet smiling friendliness of all of you working there – it was really impressive.

Me and my mate were looking for somewhere rather unique for our ’big’ birthday bash. We wanted to find a venue that could offer something different, something that could bring our diverse family and friends together on a cold November night. We found Hagglers Corner and it was love at first sight.

Sarah and Dave, the owners, clearly love the place too. They have imaginatively restored this little artisan’s corner into a hive of workshops, both indoor and outdoor venue space and a cosy cafe, set around a private furnished courtyard with its optional marquee: Just what we were looking for…

On the night, the cafe morphed into a licensed bar (mutually selected options), fire pits were lit and the marquee glowed under an array of lights and eastern fabrics. It was an amazing atmosphere even before the guests had arrived. We chose to cater for ourselves (Sarah can offer an in-house alternative) and there was ample space for us to serve food under the marquee to our 100-plus guests. Music was rigged up everywhere thanks to Dave’s myriad cables and gadgets (outdoors limited to 9pm in consideration of local residents).

Included in the very reasonable package was a large upstairs room – warm and furnished ready for phase two of our night- dancing! We did our ‘thing’ with our DJ spinning the vinyl – literally – until midnight. Dave and his excellent bar-staff inconspicuously made sure that everything was running the way that we had planned. From start to finish, Hagglers was buzzing yet everyone relaxed into its totally chilled- out atmosphere.

Our ‘birthday bash’ was fun and certainly memorable, made special by Hagglers itself; by being the unique Corner that Sarah and Dave have created.

There are on-going happenings, classes and events on a daily basis but we highly recommend it for that very ‘special’ celebration.

A celebration of life

Our family recently held an event at Haggler’s Corner to remember and celebrate the life of my eldest son, who died suddenly at the end of March.
This was an emotional occasion and we were anxious to have a fitting and successful ceremony followed by a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere to welcome and thank family and friends who participated. We used the large room upstairs as well as the court-yard and café.

We would like to thank Sarah, Dave and the staff at Haggler’s for their sensitivity, support, efficiency and concern both before and during the event. The day was smoothly run, delicious food was provided and most importantly, Haggler’s created a caring, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the afternoon and evening. We are grateful for the warm, friendly and helpful attitude of all concerned.

Haggler’s Corner was the perfect place for the event and my son would have loved being part of the occasion.
